Child safe policy
Child safe policy
Victoria has introduced compulsory minimum standards for organisations that provide services for children to help protect them from abuse. Learning with Distinction is a staunch supporter of the standards set out in the policy and is committed to meeting them consistently.
All staff and board members of Learning with Distinction are required to observe child safe principles and are expected to behave in an appropriate manner towards and in the company of children.
To support Learning with Distinction's commitment to the standards set within the "Child safe policy" we:
• have a zero tolerance for child abuse
• actively work to listen to and empower children
• have systems in place to protect children from abuse, and will take all allegations and concerns very seriously and respond to them consistently in line with our organisation’s policies and procedures
• are committed to promoting cultural safety for Aboriginal children, cultural safety for children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to provide a safe environment for children with a disability.
